Sometimes, even the best flowers need to be placed in a bouquet so they can shine. Ideas are the same way, even the best one may need visuals behind it so that it can shine. Photoshop is my go-to for making a “bouquet” and it really makes a difference. Even more so, making art is hard. So being an art director must be even harder. Knowing how different applications—Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator—work makes it easier to express concepts to a team or make recommendations. You really gain an appreciation for people who can fluently navigate the software.
