Copywriting

Copywriting

My first attempts at writing started with The Odyssey Online during undergrad (winning honorable mention in a poetry contest as a child being excluded). I published content weekly for a year and a half. This is where I started filling my pot up with soil. Later on, I was given the opportunity to write copy for Marist Abroad as they revamped their study abroad pages. During this time, I was able to plant seeds in my pot and water them, waiting for an opportunity to grow. The Mascola Group presented itself and my writing skills truly bloomed. Not only was I able to write copy for the agency, but I also wrote and edited copy for their clients, which was published! Joining Miami Ad School felt like I was grabbing a new pot and starting to grow a succulent—very different from a flower. I was challenged to write in a way that was no longer familiar to me. Still tending to my flower, but also trying my hand at another type of horticulture. And if nothing else, I wrote the copy for this website. So yes, occasionally, I do write.

The World

Wrote new and engaging copy for The World Residences at Sea’s website to highlight the exclusive past expeditions residents aboard The World were able to embark on. Residents are able to plan future expeditions and experiences that the regular traveler could only dream of.

The Odyssey Online

The following are some of my most viewed published content for The Odyssey Online. Some pieces are here because of their importance to me, even without a large amount of views.

Marist Abroad

I spent three years working for Marist Abroad and one of my favorite assignments was writing the new copy for the study abroad pages! These are only a few of the pages I have written.

Miami Ad School

Sometimes in school, you have to write. Shocker, no? Everyone keeps telling me that you have to be a creative writer if you’re in advertising. That’s probably true. So, I’ve written headlines, social media posts, radio scripts, and an entire poster of just copy. Heck, I even wrote three different tv show pitches.
